Riddu Riđđu Festivàla er en internasjonal urfolksfestival, som årlig finner sted i Kåfjord kommune i Nord-Troms. Festivalen er utendørs, og har programtilbud for hele familien. Programmet inneholder verdensomspennende urfolksmusikk, kunst, teater og dans, ungdomsleirer med kunstneriske og politiske workshops, barnefestival, dagsaktuelle seminarer, omfattende kursprogram, film og litteratur.
Takket være våre fantastiske frivillige klarer vi år etter år å lage verdens fineste festival! Som frivillig får du en unik mulighet til å oppleve innsiden av festivalen, treffe fine folk fra hele verden, oppleve midnattssola, spise uante mengder med verdens beste vafler samtidig som du er med på årets happening i Sápmi!

Vi arrangerer også et «frivillig-kick-off-vorspiel» lørdag 2.april på Driv, fra kl 19:00-23:00. Det blir musikk fra årets festival, du kan møte andre frivillige og det blir konkurranser og annet gøy. Bli med å få en smakebit av hvordan det er å være med fra innsiden!

Riddu Riđđu, which means “little storm on the coast,” is an international indigenous festival that takes place in July each year in the coastal Sami Gáivuotna - Kåfjord municipality in Northern Troms, in Norway. It is an open-air festival with varied program for young and old. The festival program ranges from worldwide indigenous music, visual art, theater and dance, youth gathering with artistic and political workshops, children’s festival, seminars on current topics, an extensive course program, film and literature.
Riddu Riđđu relies on our wonderful volunteers to help conduct the festival each summer in wonderful Manndalen/Kåfjord, and this year is no exception! Volunteers are critical to the success of the festival and work closely with the staff and participants. Being a volunteer for the Riddu Riđđu festival gives you a unique opportunity to experience the festival from the inside and it often gives you more exciting experiences than the regular audience gets. Plus you will meet great people from around the world, experience the midnight sun, eat unconditional amounts of delicious waffles, all while being part of the biggest yearly happening in Sápmi!

We are also hosting a volunteer kick-off event Saturday 2nd of April at Driv, from 7pm – 11pm. You will get to hear music from the line-up, meet other volunteers and we will have some competitions and promise a general fun time. Join us for a taste of what it is like to be a part of the Riddu Riddu team!
