Take control of your PhD journey: Academic integrity

Think like an academic - work like an academic

What is plagiarism and when do you cross the line between academic integrity and academic misconduct? The University Library invites all PhD students to a workshop on the issue of academic integrity and plagiarism in academia. We will discuss selected cases of academic misconduct and look at what is considered unethical in each case, and on a more general level, why academia depends on being trusted by society. We also offer an introduction to data management plans (DMP), presently gaining importance in the external evaluation of research and research plans. Besides answering to external requirements, DMPs help you control your research data throughout your PhD studies.

The seminar is designed to make you more secure in your own research methods by focusing on the academic norms PhD candidates at UiT are expected to follow.

The seminar is organised by Helene N. Andreassen and Mariann Løkse.

Light refreshments will be served in the break.

This seminar is a freestanding part of the seminar series Take control of your PhD journey: From (p)reflection to publishing.
