MADS GILBERT is a Norwegian doctor, activist and politician. He became actively involved with solidarity work concerning Palestinians in the 1970s and he has served as a doctor during numerous periods in Palestine and Lebanon. Gilbert’s talk will take the audience to Gaza, July 2014. He will describe the situation of the people, patients and medical staff during the Israeli onslaught called ‘Operation Protective Edge’. The talk will emphasise medical aspects and implications for public health in Gaza following such repetitive Israeli military attacks. The seminar is open to staff, students and members of the general public
