A CubeSat formation for space debris characterisation (QBDebris)

New PhD student in QBDebris

We are happy to announce that Alessio Bocci has been enrolled as a new PhD student in the project.

Alessio has a master degree in space engineering (2022) and a bachelor degree in aerospace engineering (2019), both from Politecnico di Milano. He has significant experience and several publications on the topic control engineering from previous projects, and especially related to space systems. His UiT webpage can be found here.

Alessio's work in the QBDebris project will mainly be in WP1 on deployment strategy and WP2 on attitude coordination. The title of his PhD project is "Differential Drag-Based Attitude and Orbit Control Algorithms for Satellites Formation Flight". Main supervisor for his project is associate professor Jose Juan Corona Sanchez, while professor Raymond Kristiansen will be co-supervisor.

Welcome onboard, Alessio, and the best of luck with your PhD project!
