Volunteer Tommaso Giorgi joined the UiT team for 2 months

We’re excited to welcome a new volunteer to the EU-MAT Interreg project!

Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) program supports Tommaso during her stay in Narvik.

"Hi, my name is Tommaso and I am an Architecture Engineering student from the University of Bologna, Italy, currently writing my Bachelor's thesis. My degree program combines civil engineering and architectural design. During my studies, I have developed a strong interest in sustainable building practices and resource management.

I recently arrived in Narvik to join UiT The Arctic University of Norway as an Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) volunteer. I will be collaborating on the EU-MAT project, and I am really looking forward to working with the team to expand my knowledge in the field of material recovery and recycling.

Outside of work, I came to Norway because I've always been fascinated by how this country handles environmental awareness. Plus, I can't wait to get out and explore the Arctic nature and and hike the amazing mountains around Narvik during my stay!"
