Workshop: mRNA antiinfectives – not only vaccines?

Beyond the Covid-19 mRNA vaccines and similar vaccines in clinical trials, other approaches are emerging to help combat microbial infections.

Specifically, mRNA is also used to encode antimicrobial therapeutics, such as antibodies. This workshop will go through and compare the different strategies, and how they can be complementary and overlapping.

The workshop leader will give an overview and guide the discussion. The duration of the workshop is 2-2.5 hours.

Three scientific papers describing the different strategies will be distributed to registered participants one week before the workshop. Participants are expected to read the papers in advance and prepare for active discussion. Questions to start and guide the discussions will also be distributed.

The workshop is open to all MiMa, NDPIA and NDP-VIP members, as well as others with an interest in the topic.

The workshop is arranged by Senior Researcher Sven Even Borgos from SINTEF.
