Dette nettkurset er samskapt av fem europeiske universiteter, er i tråd med Europarådets retningslinjer for og beskrivelser av kompetanse i demokratisk kultur og interkulturell dialog.
Kurset gir en unik mulighet til å øke interkulturell bevissthet og sensitivitet for å fremme kreativitet i kulturelt mangfoldige og tverrfaglige sammenhenger. Ferdighetene som utvikles gjennom dette sertifikatprogrammet er blant de ti mest verdsatte av arbeidsgivere.
Hovedmålet med kurset er å styrke effektiv tverrkulturell kommunikasjon og samarbeid gjennom aktiv lytting, mekling og kritisk tenkning, og dermed fremme aksept og respekt for kulturelt mangfold. Denne typen kompetansen gjør studentene i stand til å møte utfordringene i dagens globaliserte og multikulturelle arbeidsliv, og i akademiske miljøer.
Deltakelsesnivåer
Nivå 1: Forelesninger og nettbasert samarbeid
Studenter som deltar på minst åtte av 12 forelesninger (se programmet nedenfor) og deltar i de nettbaserte lagoppgavene, vil motta:
Nivå 2: Kun nettbasert samarbeid
Studenter som deltar i de nettbaserte samarbeidsoppgavene, men deltar på færre enn åtte forelesninger eller ikke deltar på forelesninger i det hele tatt, vil motta:
Et sertifikat som bekrefter ferdigheter i "Mekling av kommunikasjon i flerspråklige miljøer", i samsvar med de nye beskrivelsene i Det felles europeiske rammeverket for språk (CEFR).
Nivå 3: Kun forelesninger
Studenter som deltar på minst åtte forelesninger, men ikke deltar i de nettbaserte samarbeidsoppgavene, vil motta et deltakerbevis. Studenter som deltar på færre enn åtte forelesninger og ikke deltar i samarbeidsoppgavene, vil ikke motta noe deltakerbevis.
Forelesningsinnhold og datoer
Forelesningene holdes tirsdag morgen via Zoom (se datoer og tider i tabellen nedenfor) og leveres av professorer fra følgende universiteter:
Samarbeidsprosjekt
I tillegg til forelesningene vil studentene bli delt inn i små grupper på 5–6 studenter fra ulike EUGLOH-universiteter for å fullføre lagoppgaver og jobbe med et felles prosjekt. Målet med dette samarbeidet er å simulere virkelige arbeidsforhold i kulturelt mangfoldige og tverrfaglige sammenhenger.
Studentene forventes å delta i fem nettbaserte videosamtaler, som planlegges av studentene selv innenfor en gitt tidsramme:

4. videosamtale: innen 29. mars
5. videosamtale: innen 19. april
Deltakelse
Deltakelse på forelesningene er ubegrenset. Deltakelse i de nettbaserte samarbeidsoppgavene vil være begrenset til 35 studenter. Ved flere enn 35 søknader vil deltakerne bli valgt ut med mål om å sikre en balansert representasjon fra de ni EUGLOH-partneruniversitetene.

Let’s Talk: A Masterclass in Intercultural Communication, co-created by five European universities, aligns with the Council of Europe’s Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture. It provides a unique opportunity to raise intercultural awareness and sensitivity in order to foster creativity in culturally diverse and interdisciplinary contexts. The skills developed through this certificate programme are among the top ten most valued by employers.
The main objective of the masterclass is to enhance effective cross-cultural communication and collaboration through active listening, mediation, and critical thinking, thereby promoting acceptance and respect for cultural diversity. These competences enable students to address the challenges of today’s globalised and multicultural academic and professional environments.
Participation Levels
Level 1: Lectures and online collaboration
Students who attend at least 8 out of 12 lectures (see programme below) and participate in the online student collaboration tasks will receive:
Level 2: Online collaboration only
Students who attend fewer than 8 lectures, or do not attend lectures at all but participate in the online student collaboration tasks only, will receive:
a certificate attesting to skills in “Mediating Communication in Plurilingual Environments”, in compliance with the new descriptors of the Common European Framework of Languages (CEFR).
Level 3: Lectures only
Students who attend at least 8 lectures but do not participate in the online student collaboration tasks will receive a certificate of attendance. Students who attend fewer than 8 lectures and do not participate in the online collaboration tasks will not receive a certificate of attendance.
Lecture Content and Dates
Lectures take place on Tuesday mornings via Zoom (see dates and times in the table below) and are delivered by professors from the following universities:

Collaborative Project
In addition to the lectures, students will be assigned to small groups of 5–6 students from different EUGLOH universities to complete collaborative tasks and work on a common project. The aim of this collaboration is to simulate real-life conditions of working in culturally diverse and interdisciplinary contexts.
Students are expected to participate in five online video calls, scheduled by the students themselves within a given timeframe:

Participation in lectures is unlimited. Participation in the student collaboration tasks will be limited to 35 students. In the event of more than 35 applications, participants will be selected with the aim of ensuring a balanced representation from the nine EUGLOH partner universities.
