Cristin closes for registration and editing August 19

Transition from Cristin to NVA

These days, Sikt – the service provider for the knowledge sector in Norway – is putting the final touch on the National Research Archive (NVA), which will replace the current Cristin and Munin systems. This means that employees at UiT will only need to deal with one system instead of two. With the exception of certain categories of research results, the content in Cristin will be transferred to NVA. The main launch of NVA is scheduled for September/October.

NVA is operative on August 26. Publications and other information may still appear incomplete until the final migration of the repositories (Munin etc.). We urge everyone to wait on editing/correcting existing publications until the official opening in the end of September.

Cristin in read-only

The previously announced closing of Cristin for registration and editing will finally take effect on August 19 at 1:00 PM. There will still be read-only access to results registered in Cristin throughout the autumn semester. We will provide ample notice before read-only access is removed. It will be possible to use NVA for registering results and projects after Cristin is closed and before the main launch of NVA in September.

Transition from Munin to NVA

All records from the Munin research archive will be transferred to NVA. Records that exist in multiple research archives due to co-publication will be merged. No data will be lost in this process.

Publication List for Personal Profiles

The automatic retrieval of publications for the personal profiles on UiT's websites should not be affected by the transition from Cristin to NVA. Should any issues arise during the transition phase, they will be addressed promptly by Sikt.
