MSc in Biology Elisabeth Hansen (AMB) will Thursday 2 November 2023 hold her trial lecture and defend her thesis for the PhD degree in Natural Science.
Trial lecture will take place at 10.15:
"Micro-plastics, beyond exposure: what is evidence for toxicity generally and to wildlife specifically?
Examine and summarize published information on the nature, particularly the chemistry of micro-plastic compounds and on exposure of wildlife generally. Then focus on informing the audience of the state of knowledge on the effects/toxicity of these contaminants on wildlife.”
Later, at 12.15 she will defend her thesis entitled:
"Sublethal effects of environmental pollutant exposure in birds of prey:
Evaluating biomarkers of health as indicators of contaminant-mediated effects in two sentinel raptor species”
