    Kort CV:

    Miek Jong (PhD) er leder for NAFKAM, professor i helsetjenesteforskning ved UiT Norges Arktiske Universitet, og foreleser i folkehelse ved Mittuniversitetet i Sundvsall, Sverige.

    Professor Jong er medlem av flere vitenskapelige råd og styrer for stiftelser og organisasjoner i Europa innen komplementær, alternativ og integrativ behandling.

    Hun har mer enn 15 års erfaring i forskning på effekt og sikkerhet ved slike behandlinger, som meditasjon, yoga, hypnoterapi, antroposofisk medisin, homeopati, guidet visualisering, massasje samt terapeutisk bruk av urter, ernæring og kosttilskudd.

    Professor Jong har en mastergrad i medisinsk biologi fra 1993 ved Universitet i Amsterdam, og en PhD innen medisinske fag fra 1997 ved Universitetet i Leiden (også Nederland). Hun immigrerte til Sverige I 2018, og til Norge i 2020.

    Hennes nåværende forskningsinteresser er omsorgstiltak og støttebehandling ved kreft, som for eksempel villmarksterapi, alternativ behandling og selvhjelpsteknikker.

    Hun har publisert mer enn 150 vitenskapelige artikler, konferansebidrag og bokkapitler.
