Researcher, the principal investigator, and the leader of the project "Atrial fibrillation in the Tromsø Study 1986-2017: incidence trends, contribution of risk factors and prognostic outcomes" which is funded by Helse Nord.

The project leader and main supervisor for a PhD project "Risk factors, quality of life and prognostic outcomes associated with specific types of atrial fibrillation; the Tromsø Study” which is funded by UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

Collaborator in an international research project "Body mass index, atrial fibrillation  and atrial fibrillation prognostic outcomes" with Jocasta Ball as the principal investigator.
