Erik Eik Anda
Erik Anda is an Associate Professor of Perinatal Epidemiology and Registry Research at UiT, the Arctic University of Norway. His basic education is parasitology from the University of Bergen in Norway.
His main teaching obligations are linked to the Master of Public Health programme in Tromsø in addition to PhD courses and epidemiology courses for the medical students.
Currently he is involved in the KolArctic project which is cooperative research between Norway, Finland and Russia that looks at local food contamination, food security and possible health implications in these country’s common border area. He is also involved in the implementation of a national birth registry in Georgia. The latter is a cooperation between the health authorities in Georgia, UNICEF and UiT.
