🌍 Citizenship Considerations: For Non-EU/EEA Applicants

Due to visa restrictions for students who hold citizenship from countries outside the EU/EEA, we recommend that the traineeship period does not exceed 3 months (90 days). This helps avoid unnecessary complications related to visa categories such as “Research with own funds” and “Trainees,” unless you meet all the requirements and your supervisor at UiT is willing to provide the necessary documentation for the visa application.

 Note: Students who already hold a valid residence permit in a Schengen country may travel to Norway for a traineeship without a visa, provided that the traineeship does not exceed 3 months (90 days). For questions, please contact: 📧 Email: mobility@uit.no
