Stillingsbeskrivelse

Jeg studerte medisin ved Universitetet I Bergen, ble uteksaminert i 1980 (MD), og var ferdig utdannet radiolog i 1989. Jeg har siden 1987 arbeidet nærmest utelukkende med bildediagnostikk av barn; i perioden 1987 til 2005 ved Haukeland Universitetssykehus, Barneklinikken (fra 1990-2005 som seksjonsoverlege), og i perioden 2005 til 2010 ved Great Ormond Street hospital i London (som Consultant Paediatric Radiologist). Fra 2010 til 2019 igjen som overlege ved radiologisk avdeling, seksjon for barn i Bergen, og fra 2019 som overlege ved barneseksjonen, Røntgenavdelingen, UNN. Jeg har siden 1989 vært ansatt ved Universitetet i Bergen, det Medisinsk-Odontologiske fakultet, Avdeling for klinisk medisin K1, først som 1.amanuensis II, og fra 2003 til 1.1.20 som professor II (20 % stilling). Fra 1.1.20 ansatt som Prof. II ved Universitetet i Tromsø. Både i Bergen, under mitt opphold i London, og her i Tromsø hadde- og har jeg hovedansvar for skjelettdiagnostikk hos barn, inkludert mishandlingsskader, sjeldne skjelettsykdommer som f.eks. osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) og andre skjelettdysplasier. 

Jeg utfører alle typer bildediagnostiske undersøkelser hos barn, inkludert radiografi, ultralyd, CT og MR.
