Stillingsbeskrivelse

I am currently working as a scientific advisor for the Nansen Legacy project. I work in project management/support, scientific communication, and assist in planning scientific symposiums and meetings.

In a research capacity, I am a marine ecologist interested in better understanding how environmental factors influence marine food webs-both in their pathways and connectivity. My Ph.D. focused on Arctic sea ice food webs and how seasonality effects the dietary behaviors of Arctic food web members. To answer these questions, I use tools such as fatty acids and compound-specific stable isotope analysis of carbon.

My professional development also includes working in sub polar and temperate marine ecosystems. I have worked as a marine science communicator for The National Park Service in Alaska, and as a marine biologist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, studying the abundance and distribution of marine mammal populations.
