Stillingsbeskrivelse

Kjersti Julin (PhD) jobber som senioringeniør ved Forskningsgruppe for Vert-mikrobe interaksjoner (HMI), institutt for medisinsk biologi (IMB). Hun har ansvar for drift av laboratorier og oppfølging av HMS og CHESS.

Hun bidrar i gruppens prosjekter der det forskes på samspill mellom bakterier og mennesker med mål om å finne nye terapeutiske strategier for infeksjonsbehandling. Hun jobber innen alle gruppens fokus områder som er:

1) Bakteriell kolonisering, virulens and patogenesese

2) Humant mikrobiome som et mål og verktøy for å hindre infeksjoner

3) Antimikrobielle stoff, aktivitet, and resistens.

Hun underviser også på lab kurs for master (MBI 3012), lavere grad (MBI 1002) og medisinstudenter (MED 2510 og 1501) og veileder master og bachelor studenter.
