New aspects of inflammation/Travel grants

Inflammation contributes to a large number of diseases, as cancer, rheumatic , vascular, autoinflammatory/autoimmune, neurodegenerative, viral/bacterial diseases etc. including complex as well as many rare, monogenic diseases.  Our understanding of the molecular origin of these diseases, as well as robust biomarkers and therapies are incomplete.  We will focus on the lysosomes, including the processes of endocytosis, exocytosis and autophagy with emphasize on glycans, to open a new and previously neglected field of research.
