Viserektor med ansvar for regional utvikling innenfor offentlig sektor og velferd

Stillingsbeskrivelse

Viserektor har på vegne av rektor et særlig ansvar for at UiTs virksomhet som regional utviklingsaktør innenfor offentlig sektor og velferd blir styrket, og skal bidra til å tydeliggjøre og forsterke UiTs samlede innsats på dette feltet. Arbeidet skal skje i samsvar med institusjonens strategi.

Stillingen inngår i UiTs sentrale ledergruppe og skal ha sitt arbeidssted i Harstad. Viserektor er en del av rektoratet, rapporterer til rektor, og utfører for øvrig de arbeidsoppgaver som blir tildelt av/delegert fra rektor. 

Viserektor skal medvirke til at UiT har god og konstruktiv samhandling med offentlig sektor i landsdelen, og legge til rette for hensiktsmessige samarbeidsformer med statlige virksomheter, kommuner, fylkeskommuner og andre relevante samfunnsaktører i landsdelen og landet for øvrig. 

Viserektor skal i samarbeid med rektoratet og universitetsdirektøren arbeide for at UiTs virksomhet blir innrettet i samsvar med samfunnets behov for kompetanse. Viserektor har et særlig ansvar for å medvirke til at forskning og utdanninger ved UiT bidrar til regional utvikling innenfor offentlig sektor og velferd. 

Instruksen er fastsatt av universitetsstyret i henhold til universitets- og høyskoleloven § 9-2 (3) i sak S xx/16. Det vises til sak S 48/15 Organisering, styring og ledelse av det fusjonerte universitetet som ble behandlet av universitetsstyret 27.10.2015 (ePhorte 2015/1505). ​
