BABOR_06 Entrepreneurship and Innovation - 10 ECTS

Applicants from Nordic countries: 1 June for the autumn semester and 1 December for the spring semester.
Applicants from outside the Nordic countries: 1 October for the spring semester and 15 April for the autumn semester.
Exchange students and Fulbright students: 1 October for the spring semester and 15 April for the autumn semester.

Nordic applicants: Generell studiekompetanse
International applicants: Higher Education Entrance Qualification and certified language requirements in English.

Course content
Students will be provided with theoretical knowledge about innovation, entrepreneurship, and small businesses. Students will learn to cooperate practically with case companies and/or case organizations.

Objectives of the course
Knowledge:
- will be familiar with central approaches and theories to understanding innovation as a core concept of entrepreneurship in general and cross border entrepreneurship in particular
Skills:
- will be able to apply theoretical concepts to understand and analyze processes of innovation and entrepreneurship in practice; will be able to self-assess his or her practical case study efforts
Competence:
- will appreciate the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship and can conduct teamwork based case work
Assessment
The students academic performance will be assessed both through:
A formative evaluation:
- Project and team work participation, i.e. attendance is compulsory (at least 80 % of class).
- Work Paper
And a summative evaluation:
- Project work-based written papers
- Written Case work evaluations
- Final Term paper
Final term paper is graded A-F.
Possibility for resit exam in case of F.
