    Forskningsinteresser

    Jeg leder et større forskningsprosjekt ved Høgskulen på Vestlandet med fokus på risiko og svangerskapsutfall blant kvinner med innvandrerbakgrunn som føder i Norge. Jeg er opptatt av bredden av jordmorfaglige forskningsspørsmål knyttet til svangerskaps-, fødsels- og barselomsorg. Blant tema jeg har forsket på nevnes ulike perspektiver knyttet til ikke-planlagte fødsler utenfor institusjon. Min erfaring inkluderer epidemiologiske studier, andre kvantitative studier, kvalitative studier og litteraturstudier.

    Sammen med flere forskere ved jordmorutdanningen ved UiT er jeg en del av en større internasjonal forskningsgruppe som studerer kvinners vurderinger av kvalitet på norsk og europeisk fødsels- og barselomsorg under og etter COVID-19 pandemien (IMAgiNE EURO).

    Min hovedarbeidsgiver er Høgskulen på Vestlandet. Jeg er biveileder for én stipendiat ved Universitetet i Bergen.

    Undervisning

    Ved UiT kommer jeg primært til å veilede jordmorstudenter i arbeidet med deres masteroppgaver.
