STE6256 Instrumentation & Measuring Systems - 5 ECTS

Course content

Description of Measurement and Instrumentation tasks in Electrical Power Conversion systems. Mathematical modelling of static and dynamic characteristics of electronic measurement system elements. Static and dynamic errors and accuracy in measurement systems. Evaluation of measurement uncertainty. Signal processing and condition circuits. Design with operation amplifiers. Waveform generators. Analog filters. Analog to digital and digital to analog conversion. Sensors and transducer for voltage, current, temperature, force, speed and position measurements.

Objectives of the course

Gain knowledge and skills for application, analysis and synthesis of signal processing elements for electronic measurement in Electric Power Conversion systems. Develop ability to apply current techniques and tools, for specification and model based design of signal condition circuits for monitoring and control of Power Electronic systems.
