Content

The candidate will perform a practical work related to the use of techniques in Operations Research


Objectives of the course

Learning outcomes, skills and attitudes

Knowledge:

Based on techniques given in Operations Research 1 and some extensions this course give the students knowledge in modelling and optimization of real-life deterministic or probabilistic systems.  

Skills:

The candidate will be able to perform modelling and optimization of real-life deterministic or probabilistic systems by formulating a model, decide solution techniques and then solve the model.

General (overall) Qualifications:

Based on the practical experience of solving real-life problems the candidate shall be able to communicate, solve and improve related problems in future education and working life.

The candidate will perform a practical project in the area of Operations Research


Assessment

Evaluation

A project report accounting for 100% of the total grade in the course. Grading will be done by A-F scale. A re-sit exam will be arranged for this course.
