Professor Jentoft will talk about the construction of the new inter-oceanic canal, and the relationship between the Nicaraguan government and local communities.

Svein Jentoft is a sociologist and professor at The Norwegian College of Fishery Science. He has worked extensively on social and political issues in fisheries, small-scale fisheries, coastal communities, co-management, indigenous peoples, and interactive governance.
