Elisabeth Eide is professor of journalism studies at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, Oslo where she heads the reasearch group on Journalism, climate and globalization.

She co-chairs the global network MediaClimate, which monitors media coverage of the climate summits (COPs) and the IPCC/AR5 reports; and also the NFR-funded cross-disciplinary project Climate Crossroads. Towards Precautionary Practices: Politics, Media and Climate.
