The winner of The Mohn Prize 2024 will be announced on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 20:00 CET, as part of the reception for The International Nansen Legacy Symposium “Towards a new Arctic Ocean” at the Fram Centre in Tromsø.

About the Mohn Prize

The International Mohn Prize recognizes outstanding research related to the Arctic. The award aims at setting issues that are central to the further development of the Arctic on the national and international agenda. The Mohn Prize is a cooperation between UiT The Arctic University of Norway (UiT), Academia Borealis - The Academy of Sciences and Letters of Northern Norway (NNVA), and Tromsø Research Foundation (TFS). The prize amounts 2 million NOK (approximately 200 000 €). It is awarded biennially.

The Laureate will receive the Mohn Prize during Arctic Frontiers 2024.
