Join us for a conversation with Dr. Asebe Regassa about his academic and personal journey on Thursday, 24 January at Árdna, the Sámi cultural building at UiT Tromsø.

How does a young man from Ethiopia end up completing a masters, phd and postdoctoral research in Norway, Germany and Switzerland? What does it take to establisha new institute in a new academic field at your home university in the South? What value does a degree earned in the north have in the global south?

In a conversation with Dr. Regassa, we will learn details about the success and challenges of an international academic career.
