Course content
The AMGG trainee school attempts to give more thrust to marine geological/geophysical research, to enhance international cooperation, integration, and visibility of Norway's contribution to research in the Arctic. The research of AMGG focuses on the development of Arctic continental margins including genesis of glacigenic sediments; geo-hazards, paleoclimate & paleoceanography, energy and environment; tectonics and structural geology. The main study area is the fjords and continental margin off Svalbard, northern Norway, the Barents Sea, the Arctic Ocean and east Greenland margin. AMGG aim to arrange at least one new workshop every year on a relevant research topic, to keep students up-to-date on Arctic marine geological/geophysical research.Error rendering component
