Dr Kinga Zdunek is a lecturer and researcher at Medical University of Lublin (Poland) in the Health Education Department. She has experience in both didactic and research on health issues. Her primary background is Sociology and she has always been interested in the issues of Sociology of Medicine and Medical Sociology. This led her to the Public Health field where she has been working since the beginning of her professional career.
Dr Kinga Zdunek is familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methodology. She obtained theoretical knowledge on research performance during sociological studies. It was deepened and Public Health oriented, as during 15 years she has been also lecturer working with Public Health students in the field of methodology but also in international health issues, health promotion and health education.
Her research interests reflect her professional background and education as Master of Sociology and PhD in Health Sciences. The studies which join the social and health issues are particularly interesting to her, as it strongly correlates with her scientific interests.
Dr Zdunek’s recent research, which was performed within the MOCHA (Horizon 2020) project, was devoted to the analysis of contextual determinants of child health policy at European level. Additionally, she was involved in the assessment of the impact of evidence based solutions on the implementation of innovative models of child health care in Europe.
Currently she is involved in two European funded projects DDS Map (https://ddsmap.easpd.eu/) and ProY&O (https://proyouandothers.umlub.pl/) as well as several bilateral initiatives e.g. with UiT in Norway and IRPPS CNR in Italy.
