The Mohn Prize is awarded for excellence in research related to the Arctic. Now you can nominate your candidate for The Mohn Prize 2024. Deadline is July 31st 2023.
The prize is awarded to an individual or to a research group who has published excellent research related to the Arctic, who holds a leading position internationally in her/his/their field of research, and who has brought to light groundbreaking new knowledge related to nature and/or culture in the Arctic.
Nominees for the prize are evaluated by an international scientific committee.
Nominations are confidential and should not be made known to the nominee. Self-nominations will not be accepted, and the prize is not awarded postmortem.
The nomination process is open to anyone. All text and attachments must be written in English. In the nomination process, we will ask for the following:
- A statement of maximum 4000 characters (incl. spaces), explaining why the candidate should receive The Mohn prize.
- The candidate’s CV and list of publications.
- Names and contact information for at least two possible referees with in-depth knowledge of the field in which you have nominated a candidate.
All data collected in the web form will be deleted no later than six months after submission of the last response.
