Prices and fines
Library services are free for anyone who has created a user account.
Lost or damaged books and materials
The library user will be personally responsible for ensuring that books and materials are returned in the same condition as when they were borrowed. Loss of books or damaged materials will result in a claim for compensation. Overdue loans submitted after the third reminder are considered lost and will result in a claim for compensation.
Books returned after a claim for compensation has been issued will not result in the claim being waived, unless otherwise agreed.
Library users can also agree to purchase a replacement copy of a lost or damaged book, send an enquiry to post@ub.uit.no.
Students at UiT
Late fee 100 NOK
Claim for compensation per document minimum 1000 NOK
If the document has a value of more than 1000 NOK, the compensation claim will be equal to the purchase price.
Employees at UiT
Claim for compensation per document minimum 1000 NOK
If the document has a value of more than 1000 NOK, the compensation claim will be equal to the purchase price.
