Norwegian Language Didactics

About

Norwegian Language Didactics is dedicated to enhancing Norwegian language education from the following perspectives:

  • Norwegian as a Second Language
  • Norwegian Didactics
  • Intercultural Competence


Our primary objective is to discover effective and motivating approaches to teaching and learning Norwegian. We conduct research on the efficiency of various teaching and learning methods that promote active learning, incorporating elements like peer feedback and project-based learning. The group focuses on didactics in various language components such as phonetics and academic writing. The group also aims at identifying methods for teaching language that nurture intercultural communicative competence. We rely on diverse methodologies, including classroom observations, questionnaires, and interviews.
