About

Using immersive VR with portable physiology and validated measures, EDGE research focuses on modelling and improving decision‑making, de‑escalation, and resilience under timed uncertainty—delivering open benchmarks, registered reports, and practical training modules for SAR, crisis coordination, misinformation inoculation, and reconciliation (leads: A. Sanchez Laws and K Bergsnev).

A Trauma and Reconciliation sub‑pillar (lead: A. Heraclidou) co‑designs safe, dialogic XR experiences with women’s groups and museums, translating immersive journalism and heritage into measurable prosocial outcomes.

EDGE is hosted by the Center for Geopolitics, Peace and Security and the Department of Philosophy at UiT The Arctic University of Norway and affiliated with The Grey Zone research group.
