Måndag 26. januar Terribly nice news: The NorDiaCorp-application that we submitted to NOS-HS by 1 October has been granted (with a minor budget cut)! This was announced today on NOS-HS' homepage. This means that we will be able to collect questionnaire data from dialects in Sweden and Finland, and that we can hire two researchers for two years to develop overviews, maps and other dissemination on the basis of all the data that has been collected. Given that I spent all of my anniversary birthday on completing the application and had my guests wait for me for more than an hour while I was off mailing it, I'm particularly glad that the precious time wasn't spent all in vain, he-he!...
