Steinar Thorvaldsen was invited to give a guest lecture in Cambridge on May 7th this year. The lecture was titled DNA as Information: A Framework for Quantifying Genetic Information. Steinar has published several articles on this topic together with Nordic colleagues. The genetic material in the cells’ DNA and genes can be compared to the text and chapters of a book, and this new research presents a method for measuring the information found in genes.
