with advanced knowledge for computer

PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The study program comprises of mandatory
coursework 60 ECTS and a Master’s thesis
60 ECTS. Students are expected to complete
their coursework in the first year and to
conduct their individual research and write
the Master’s thesis in the second year.
There are two fields of study:
Health:
This field of study focuses on how to face the
challenge of implementing and introducing
telemedicine and e-health systems in
complex health organizations.
Technology:
This field of study covers both the theore-
tical basis and the experimental methods
in computer science. Students take both
ordinary computer science courses and
specialized courses in medical informatics,
telemedicine and e-health.
International English Master’s Program:
The study program is open to all qualified
candidates who fulfill the English entrance
requirement as well as other entrance
requirements from the University.
Collaboration with the Norwegian Centre
for Integrated Care and Telemedicine
(NST). NST is internationally recognized for
its expertise in telemedicine and e-health.
Students will have opportunities to develop
professional cooperation with NST.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The public health service is large and com-
plex where there is a growing demand for
collaboration, coordination and communi­
cation by means of modern technology.
Graduates, who understand both the public
healthcare services and modern technolo-
gies have the advantage to devise, develop,
implement and manage new systems,
methods as well as strategies.
• Promote and introduce telemedicine and
e-health services and programs.
• Participate in the development of tele-
medicine and e-health products and
services.
• Apply telemedicine and e-health services
in professional healthcare.
LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION AND
EXAMINATION
The language of the study program is
English. This will apply to teaching, syllabus
material, and examination questions.

Beskrivelse av studiet
Tannpleierne jobber hovedsakelig med
sykdomsforebyggende tannhelse og er
ofte den første som møter pasienten. De
undersøker tenner, munnhule og helsevaner
og skal kunne tilrettelegge tiltak overfor
enkeltpersoner og grupper med tannhelse­
problemer. Samtale med pasienter og
helsepersonell, veiledning og planlegging
har en sentral plass.
Etter fullført studium vil en få autorisasjon
som tannpleier.
Studiet kvalifiserer for ulike mastergrader.

• Helsefremmende og forebyggende arbeid
• Tannpleie for barn og ungdom
m/ prosjektoppgave
2. studieår:
• Felles innholdsdel - refleksjon over praksis
• Voksen- og eldretannpleie m/prosjekt­

3. studieår:
• Felles innholdsdel - planlegging,
samarbeid og ledelse
• Helhetlig pasienttilnærming, voksen- og
eldretannpleie
• Samfunnsodontologi – fordypning
• Bacheloroppgaven 20 sp
Praksis foregår på Universitetstannklinikken
og eksternt i den offentlige tannhelse-
tjenesten.
JOBBMULIGHETER
Du kan jobbe i den offentlige tannhelse-­
tjenesten, i privat praksis eller som selv-­
stendig privatpraktiserende tannpleier.
Du kan også jobbe innen EØS-området
etter søknad til det aktuelle landets helse­
myndigheter.
