Nordisk Broderiworkshop - Stitching Belonging – Embroidery, Care and Connections

Stitching Belonging is a Nordic crafts, design and research project aiming to explore and strengthen belonging and community through sustainable participatory embroidery practices. The project has held a series of interconnected open-ended embroidery workshops in Murjek and will continue with more workshops in the Nordic periphery. It is honoring community, care and the aesthetics of slowness, connecting people, bringing old practices into new cultural forms and breathing new life into the old cloths and the old craft tradition of embroidery, in the North and beyon
