To advance our understanding of the combined effect of climate, biota and human interactions on Arctic, Sub-arctic and Alpine ecosystem dynamics in the past, present, and future using environmental DNA and other biomolecules.

Provide a National Facility for the analysis of eDNA from sediments and soils
Move toward full ecosystem reconstruction of terrestrial, aquatic, and coastal communities.
Expand the use of archaeogenomics for human-environment interactions and lifeways.
