Workshop in Pondicherry, India
The FisherCoast project arranged its second workshop in Pondicherry in the days February 11-15, 2020 in Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, India.
The project focuses on coastal transformation and how it is occurring globally, with special reference to India and a number of coastal states in Europe. The objective is to see how government laws and investment policies have reshaped the social ecology of the coast and the fishing communities, and also how these changes have affected the fisher’s wellbeing.
From the MARA research group, Keshav Prasad Paudel, Tara Lawrence and Bjørn-Petter Finstad participated in the workshop.
