Do distributed medical education programs in the north successfully train physicians who remain in northern and rural areas?

A PhD project

Distributed medical education programs are increasingly being implemented at European universities. UIT offers three medical programs and has graduated physicians from its DMEs in Bodø and Finnmark since 2010 and 2018, respectively. These graduates, with relative long career trajectories, makes the cohorts ideal for comparative studies.

This project is structured into three work packages. The project aims to examine wheter UIT effectively train physicians to practice in the rural north.
