ROMFREM

This project is a collaboration between UiT The Arctic University of Norway, the Norwegian Church City Mission and representatives from Romano Kher. The purpose of the project is to investigate how the Romano Kher cultural and language resource centre can contribute to both the pursuit and dissemination of knowledge promoting the sociocultural living conditions for Roma children and families in order to make it possible for Roma children and adolescents under care in the Norwegian Child Welfare Services to maintain contact with the Roma environment and develop a positive Roma identity. As an innovative project, it makes use of participatory research design in which participants from the Roma community are involved in all phases of the project.
