Environmental Physiotherapy Agenda 2023 - Advancing planetary health, sustainability and environmental education in physiotherapy
The EPTAgenda2023 started in 2020 as a global call to action and collaborative project aiming at the integration of planetary health, environmental, and sustainability education into entry-level physiotherapy education programs around the world. As a global initiative, it represents an unprecedented effort combining the strength of the entire physiotherapy profession to simultaneously contribute to human and environmental health, functioning, and flourishing.
The EPT Agenda 2023 has gathered over 90 universities from around the world, alongside 30+ supporting organizations and 700+ individual supporters in its efforts to implement planetary health, environmental, and sustainability education into entry-level physiotherapy training around the world. Materials developed include an extensive selection of inspirational case reports and many other resources for physiotherapy educators and students looking to make a start in environmental physiotherapy education. The project has now transitioned into its second phase, the EPT Agenda 2027.
