Healthy Choices and the Social gradient

project owner(s): UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Department of Community Medicine
project's time span: 2019 - 2026

The project brings together ongoing and planned research activities across three research groups in the Department, and further includes several national and international partners. The above-mentioned Project 2 (Tracing causes) was extended to become part of the Healthy Choices project, in which part we seek to provide new insights on: i) measurement of socio-economic position, ii) intergenerational transmission of health, and iii) explain the widening social gradient in health behaviours. The work on these topics takes place in successful collaborations with Monash University, Australia (professor Gang Chen), University of York (professor Nils Gutacker and Dr Matthew Robson) and NORCE (Dr Admassu Lamu).
