GUESSED WP3 - What ski guides do

What people actually do when operating in avalanche terrain

We examine what commercial ski guides actually do when they are guiding. To understand what ski guides actually do we study them, ethnographically, from two perspectives: from a guide perspective and from a client perspective. This allow us to gain a deeper understanding of their behaviours, and provide us with insights about the differences between what people do, and what they, in theory, should do, and what the implications are from this discrepancy.
