Theatre and democracy. Building democracy in post-war and post-democratic contexts

The aim of the project is to investigate theatre in the context of democracy and thereby further develop applied theatre research and centres of applied theatre excellence in the collaborating Norwegian and South African institutions. The researchers will conduct sub-projects  linked to postgraduate training and collaborating theatre organizations. The project will  investigate post-conflict and post-democratic issues and hence offer knowledge on theatre in the democratic context as well as participant driven democratic competency, problem solving and public knowledge of  democratic life issues.
