Course for UiT employees and students who, based on risk assessment, must have documented safety training.

This training involves: Zoonoses - infectious diseases that can infect from animal to human - about host animals, reservoir for infection, protection, protective equipment, handling and a bit about genetically modified material (GMO).

The instruction gives an introduction to zoonoses - infectious diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans as well as the subject of genetically modified organisms (GMO). After the course you will be familiar with the conditions relevant for risk assessment related to research activities conducted in areas with exposure to zoonoses/infectious diseases/allergens transmitted by animals. You wil also be familiar wiith relevant protective measures. The training needs to be completed before a participant engages in a risk-involving activity related to handling biological materials.
