This course is not available as a single course.

The project must be approved by the department board. An application for approval must be handed in by September 1st/February 1st in the semester the project is to be carried out.

Course contents

The aim of the course is to introduce the student to research activity within the field of geology. A certain amount of independent work is required. The course may consist of literature studies and/or practical/experimental work. The content of the project will be decided in discussion with the project supervisor, who will be a member of staff from the relevant research field.

The report can not be a part of the Master thesis - it must have an independent and unrelated theme.

Objective of the course

The purpose of this course is to give students training in individual project writing within geological issues, based on literature studies and/or practical work.

Language of instruction

Norwegian or English.

Teaching methods

Individual studies and supervision.

Date for examination

Assignment hand in date 01.06.2023

The date for the exam can be changed. The final date will be announced at your faculty early in May and early in November.
