Høst 2022
SIK-2012 Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure - 10 stp
The course is administrated by
Institutt for teknologi og sikkerhet
Type of course
Can be taken as a singular course
Course contents
The course introduces the electric power transmission and distribution. Content consists of four modules. First module discusses the mechanical and electric properties of common materials used in the energy industries. The second module contains the analysis of power transmission, power loss control and distribution optimization. The third module discusses the reliability and safety control on the power system, the EMC issue in the power supply, the environmental pollution from the power transmission. The last module discusses the harsh weather challenges on the energy distribution and the measurement approaches on the power distribution.
Application deadline
