Course contents

NMR has become a routine technique for chemists working in the fields of organic-, medicinal- and structural chemistry and biology, and new developments have made it possible to analyze more and more complex molecules and their interactions in biological systems. The course focuses on developing both theoretical and practical skills in using NMR as a tool for structure determination and elucidation as well as the characterization of biological macromolecules. In addition to recording and analyzing routine one-dimensional spectra of different nuclei, more advanced two- and three-dimensional techniques will be examined and applied in solving problems related to structure and dynamics.

Application deadline

Applicants from Nordic countries: 1 June for the autumn semester and 1 December for the spring semester. Exchange students and Fulbright students: 1 October for the spring semester and 15 April for the autumn semester.
