A relevant undergraduate bachelor Engineering programme with minimum 30 credits mathematic/statistics topics

Application code: 9371

Prerequisite(s): Fundamental circuit analysis or similar. Electronics I and II or similar. Completed the subject SMN6147 Complex analysis

Objective of the course

The course will provide an introduction to circuit design as well as a description of the properties of electrical power converters and electric motor drives. Stationary operating characteristics will be emphasized. Students aquire sufficient skills to select and dimension the electric motor drives that are part of industrial systems. After completing the course, students will be able to explain principles and operating characteristics of the main types of electrical machines, and they will be able to make simple calculations, connections and measurements. Furthermore, they should explain main principles and security measures at the development of low voltage systems.
