Assessment
The exam includes submission of a project paper within a set deadline. The deadline is set in connection with the approval of the capstone project. Oral presentation of the capstone project can be claimed.
Grading scale: "Pass" / "Fail".
Re-sit exam: Only if a capstone project is graded "Fail" may the project be resubmitted in revised form. A new deadline for submission will be stipulated. The new deadline for the project is 4 weeks from the point in time when the candidate was informed about the exam result. If the project receives a grade of "Fail" a second time the student can apply to the Department programme board for the assignment of a new project.
Postponed submission: If a medical certificate is provided the student is given a postponed deadline for submitting the capstone project according to regulations in section 21 in Regulations for examinations at the UiT. By irresistible reasons for postponed submission, the student can apply for up to a 4 weeks extended limitation period. The Department programme board can approve or reject the application.
Non-submission of project: If a project is not submitted within the stipulated time limit and any application for postponement has not been granted the candidate will be reported as not being present ("ikke møtt") at the examination. The student can then apply to the Department programme board for assignment of a new project.
